Back once again w/ the weekly review. September is getting to be very busy and a lot of stuff is in the works aka look for new work posted soon. Either way, on w/ the show!

• Welcome all the visitors of my first email newsletter: Vintage Relish Vol. 1 Issue1
• D.Woods redesign and branding is underway. Pretty exciting as we are getting a lot of room to work and strengthen her brand.
• Sat down w/ Cecilia Stalin and got going on a redesign for her site as well.
• Plotted out the first 3 issues of The Bros. Moore story. Character Designs are coming soon.
• Joined Twitter! Not sure how that’s going to working out but we’ll see.
• The weekly creative showcases has been really cool and I love giving talented people their shine
• Really excited about working in the Non-profit realm again. I like making people who do good and honorable work look good on the web.

And that’s a wrap! This month is already looking crazy but fun/busy crazy.

DAMN! It’s been almost a month since I’ve done a weekly review!? It’s all the travelling and a well deserved break from computers. No matter, back on the horse!

• WACKNESS pt 1: About 3 potential projects disappeared into the ether. And so it goes.
• WACKNESS pt 2: 2 other projects have grinded to a halt and are now in limbo.
• Recently completed the first issue of Vintage Relish, the Official Mookie Design newsletter, to go out next monday.
• Getting my phone situation straightened out so I can complete my new business cards
• Researching a new computer setup for the office
• Took on 2 Probono projects this week: a social network site for a Christian Youth group at my old college and a very talented writer’s blog design
• Start design for Saiko Sushi’s take away menu, this will comlete my total branding of their materials
• Last rounds of the 19Market Restaurant should be completed this week w/ a launch by Sept 1.
• Research, research reasearch on better project management, marketing, cleaner CSS code
• Still cranking out work for weightwatchers.com

Hello all! I am back and settled in NYC again. After being in 3 different time zones in 3 weeks (NYC, CA, and Sweden) I have recovered from my jetlag. So on w/ the show:

• CA: Met w/ Vesl Studios head, Erik Otto, and had a awesome convo on the art, design, and the future. Look for a collabo soon
• CA: Wrapping up 19Market -Bar & Bistro website. Got to eat and hang out there. Food is DEVINE!
• SWE: Met the head of Musicano, a Swedish based Music Production company. Great convo about music, the industry, and possibly new projects in the future.
• SWE: Randomly met the photographer of rock group, Cold War Kids, in the airport
• NYC: About to start on the redesign of Danity Kane member, D.Woods.
• NYC: Freelancing for Weightwatchers.com again. Fun times, fun times.
• NYC: ROMG is comin for ya!

And now about to go eat breakfast before I get in trouble! lol

I know, i know, I said that before. But I really am this time! Even got a spankin new blog temp to boot! I am officially running mookie design now full time so I am steppin up my biz game. That includes the books, blogs, research, etc. so yup, i am back. I am going to use this blog as updates to all things creative related to mookie design (web and illustration too!) and odds and ends. so enough yappin and get to the posting!

oh sheit…cameron ACTUALLY finished his redesign. like 4 years later. worth the wait i tell you! next you are gonna tell me cameron is gonna post sketchbook pages??? and then cameron will stop talkin in the third person.

shout out to my homie nikki who still checks my blog even when i dont update! go shm prez! i think i am goin to make a SHM Alumni LinkedIN group. might as well right?

well the design world has encroached on my art world but it is slowly changing. must bring balance to the force! a new roomate, mr. phil mamuyac, has added his creativeness to the apt. and thus keeps me on my drawing toes. stay tuned! seriously,

so i have been drawing and doodling..workin on a story w/ my brothers and just tryin to get back into it. this jack of all trades stuff kinda hard i tell you! somethin colorful is comin soon!
